DAY 1                                 AIRPORT / KALPITIYA

Kalpitya is located in the North Western Province, Puttalam, of Sri Lanka . The city consists of a total 14 islands, that are a crown for its stunning natural beauty. Kalpitya is also famous for its oceanic beauty. It is definitely showing its true potential under great refinement and development, which is ultimately leading it to become a relentless tourist attraction.

 

 

DAY 2                                 KALPITIYA

  • Whale and Dolphin Watching

Watching dolphins swimming alongside you and under your boat while they leap out of the ocean is truly an unforgettable experience.!!!!!!Sri Lanka is becoming a major spot for watching Dolphins and Whales. You may see pods of upto 1000 Dolphins.Kalpitiya is perfect for dolphin and whale watching, because you do not have to head out too deep into the ocean to catch a glimpse of them. The continental shelf is much closer than reported in admiralty charts the shelf actually runs near and alongside the shoreline. This means you can see many species of marine life just a short boat ride away from the shore.

DAY 3                                 KALPITIYA / TRINCOMALEE

  • Head to Trincomalee after Breakfast

Trincomalee (Trinco) sits on one the world’s finest natural harbours. The city is located on a peninsula, which divides the inner and outer harbours.Trincomalee is an anglicized version of the Tamil word Tirukonamalai (which means “lord of the sacred hill”); it is a hill situated in the end of a natural land formation that resembles an arc. It is one of the main where Tamil is spoken at large scale. Historically referred to as Gokanna or Gokarna it has been a sea port that has played a major role in maritime and international trading history of Sri Lanka.

DAY 4                               KALPITIYA / TRINCOMALEE

  • Visit Trinco Beach / Marble Beach/ Pigeon Island
  • Visit Konneswaran Temple & Other religious temples – Trincomalee is considered a very sacred place by the Tamil and Sinhalese. Trincomalee and its surroundings have both Hindu and Buddhist sites of historical importance. These sites are sacred to the Hindus and Buddhists.
  • Water Sports & Marine Life Adventures.

DAY 5                               TRINCOMALEE / PASIKUDAH

Pasikuda is a coastal resort area located about 35 kilometers northwest of Batticaloa town. The clean & white sandy beach with shallow waters and coral reefs make Passikudah Bay a safe heaven for bathing, swimming and relaxing amongst locals and foreigners alike.

Pasikuda is known to have one of the longest stretches of shallow coastline in the world and people can walk several hundred meters into the sea because the water is only a few inches deep. Pasikudah Bay contains a shallow fringing coral reef towards the outer bay with scattered coral communities within the bay

DAY 6                              PASIKUDAH / ARUGAMBAY

Lovely Arugam Bay, a moon-shaped curl of soft sand, is home to a famed point break that many regard as the best surf spot in the country. It’s a tiny place, with a population of a few hundred, and everything is dotted along a single road which parallels the coast.

  • Beach visit and Surfing / Windsurfing / Kitesurfing
  • Pottuvil Lagoon boat ride – the lagoon slowly wakes up as the fishermen and wildlife emerges for the day. A lot of birds are cruising the sky and perching on the mangroves to look for food. The lagoon is the home for a lot of animals. You will have the opportunity to see big crocodiles bathing in the morning sun, elephants foraging with their young calves and also the rare Monitor Lizard, which are one of the biggest in the world.
    The lagoon is surrounded by mangrove forests that are home to an abundance of wildlife. Above the water we can see many species but under water it is a nursery for marine life, fishes, prawns, and crabs.Your guide will explain the ecosystem of the lagoon, that includes animals, plants and the fishermen that rely on it for their livelihood

DAY 7                               ARUGAMBAY / MIRISSA

  • Proceed to Mirissa
  • Dolphin & Whale watching – One of the best places in the world to see one of the only recorded resident blue whale colonies in their natural habitat. Dolphins are regularly spotted on whale watching trips organized from Mirissa and Dondra head on the south coast.
